Specialties
-
Our Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) team is made up of speech-language pathologists who are dual-certified as AAC specialists (BCS-AAC) and assistive technology professionals (ATPs). Services include AAC evaluation, device selection, and consultation to support implementation. Got complex access needs? No problem. Our occupational therapy team supports the evaluation of access, positioning, and mounting for AAC to ensure a holistic, functional solution for communication needs.
-
Our Assistive Technology (AT) team is made up of occupational therapists who provide a unique lens for addressing cognitive and motor-based technology needs. We work with clients across the lifespan to address needs and ensure access to communication, academics, school and community environments, and employment. Services include AT evaluation, tool selection, and training to support implementation. Whether you need digital tools to support literacy in the classroom or a complex seating system, controlled via eye-gaze, we’ve got you covered.
-
Our Bilingual Speech-Language Services provide culturally and linguistically appropriate evaluation, therapy, and team consultation for multilingual students, ensuring accurate identification of communication needs and compliance with IDEA requirements for bilingual or multilingual students.
-
Our Feeding & Swallowing team is made up of experienced speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists who bring an interdisciplinary approach to addressing feeding and swallowing challenges that impact a student’s access to their educational program. Through comprehensive assessment and ongoing collaboration with school teams and families, we identify barriers related to feeding and swallow function and provide practical, student-centered solutions to promote safe participation and access to education.
-
Our skilled speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists are available to cover traditional therapy and evaluation needs in individual programs, schools, and districts.
-
Our vision services team includes Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments (TVIs) and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists (COMS). TVI services include evaluation and specialized instruction for students with vision impairments, consideration of accessible learning strategies, adaptation of materials, Braille instruction, and teaching of skills that promote independence in the classroom and beyond. Our Orientation and Mobility (O&M) team provides assessment and training to support individuals with visual impairments. O&M services are highly individualized and teach essential travel skills, as well as the use of mobility aids and technology, to promote safety and independence across environments. Together, our specialists empower individuals with visual impairments to achieve greater independence, confidence, and access in all aspects of life.
Services
-
In addition to traditional evaluation, therapy, and consultative services, we offer intensive, individual services for specific skill development for students who require focused practice to build AAC access, power mobility, and computer access skills. These specialized service plans may be helpful for students with an acquired injury, complex profiles, or those building skills with new technology.
-
We empower schools to develop stronger AAC and AT systems by offering a holistic support model rather than focusing exclusively on formal evaluations.
